Auto-tune
re:group performance collective
Director, Co-Creator and Video Designer
Auto-tune is an operatic song cycle performed by a man in a wolf mask. It is a theatre work that explores the value of mistakes in a contemporary digital era defined by algorithmic perfection. The narrative enacts a story of strange superpowers, strained friendships and young death in regional Australian communities.
As a theatre show, AUTO-TUNE takes the form of a live music gig. The performance of the work will be part concert, part monologue and part live video-clip.
2024 Performed as a part of Unwrapped at Sydney Opera House
2023 Performed at The East Sydney Community and Arts Centre as part of BrandX The Flying Nun Season.
